Jamaica is an island located in the Caribbean Sea. It lies about 145 kilometers south of Cuba. The island came under Spanish rule following the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1494. They mainly speak English but the majority speak a form of English creole. There political status is a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth the second as head of state.

Jamaica has two major airports. The Normal Manley in Kingston and the Donald Sangster in Montego Bay. You may not enter Jamaica without a passport with at least two black pages upon leaving the U.S. In Jamaica, they have Jamaican dollars which are worth seventy-seven cents in the U.S. when you convert your american money to theirs. Ticket prices to get to Jamaica typically cost around 300 dollars depending on if you sit in first class. There are many popular places to stay in Jamaica but Montego bay and Ocho Rios are the ones that stood out due to it's popularity. Rafting at the Martha Brae River is pretty cool because, you get to experience the wildlife that resides around the river as your rafting down. Another cool spot to go see is Dunn's River Fall. It's 180 meters of water flowing down beautiful rocks in which you can climb as well.
